Build an online store
From listing products to taking orders, in the order you actually need them. The Korean trade lines belong in the footer, and this guide shows where.
What this business needs on a site
A store rarely fails on looks. It fails on flow — the products look right, and then a customer cannot find the order they placed.
So name the screens when you ask: list, detail, cart, order lookup. Name four and you get four.
Selling online in Korea also puts specific lines in the footer. This guide covers those too.
Somewhere the product shows up
A list with photo and price, a detail page with the description and options. Say up front whether you have size or colour options — retrofitting them changes the data.
Cart and order lookup
Add to cart, fill in the order, then find it again by order number. Shoppers use order lookup more than anything else on the site.
Somewhere the money lands
The amount is recalculated on the server, never taken from the browser. Real card payments are still closed — we have no merchant contract yet.
The lines the law wants
Trade name, representative, business registration number, mail-order registration number, address, phone, email. Ask in Korean and the footer comes back with those slots.
What to type
You do not need a long brief. Say what you sell and which screens you want. Naming the screens is what keeps the cart from going missing.
That is the exact sentence we ran. Writing it in Korean is what makes prices come back in won — ask in English and you get dollars.
What to fix in the result
Step 1. Prices and delivery first
Sample numbers ship with the result. Put in your real prices, delivery fee, and free-delivery threshold. Editing text on the screen costs no credits.
Step 2. Swap the product photos
Upload your own. Keep one aspect ratio across the list — mixed ratios break the grid, and that is the first thing a shopper notices.
Step 3. Add returns and exchanges
Ask for it: add a returns and exchange page and link it from the footer. Korean commerce law expects that page to exist.
Check before you publish
Replace the sample numbers
The footer slots are real, the numbers in them are examples. Put your own trade name, representative, registration number, mail-order number, address, phone and email in.
Mail-order registration
Selling online in Korea means registering with your district office. Check with them whether your scale is exempt, and leave the line out rather than faking it.
Card payment is still closed
No money moves yet. Many shops open with bank-transfer instructions first and switch the checkout on later.
Place one order yourself
Before you tell anyone the address, buy something as a customer and then find that order by number.
